Your Will Call

Updated: May 3

Will call refers to a method of delivery for a purchased item where a person can pick up the item at a window or an office.

If you have ever attended a concert or visited an amusement park you may have purchased your tickets ahead of time and asked them to hold those at the will call window or office for you to pick up when you arrived.

Today I want to talk about another will call location where we will receive a gift that has been paid for in advance on our behalf. This will call location is referred to as heaven. When we arrive there, we will receive the precious gift of eternal life all because we believe that Jesus died on the cross and paid the price of our sins in advance.

Romans 5:8 NIV says,

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Friends, how blessed are we that Jesus was willing to take our sins to the cross on our behalf, Amen?! So often, I hear people say they fear death and today I want to encourage you to be excited about it. Why? First, because we know that we will meet Him face to face and secondly, because all of our sorrows will be gone. That sounds wonderful to me...how about you?

Revelation 21:4-5 NIV says "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. He who was seated on the throne said, I am making everything new! Then he said, Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."

I hope you will take some time to read the Scriptures and allow God to minister to your heart as you meditate on His Word, and if you haven't done so already, I want to encourage you to give your life to Him and allow Him to use you in mighty ways!

1 Peter 5:6-7 NIV

"Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

John 11:25 NIV

"Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NIV

"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body."

Romans 6:23 NIV

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

When our time comes to an end here on Earth, I pray that each one of us will be filled with excitement and awe when we meet Jesus face to face at His will call location in heaven.
