Your Energy Impacts Lives

Updated: Jan 25, 2023

Positive or negative, our energy has the potential to change peoples lives for the better. Which energy are you spreading? Are you impacting others positively or negatively? Over the years I've had the pleasure of knowing some pretty amazing people, from family members to coworkers & friends. You know, the kind who are so optimistic that you wonder what their secret is. How is it that despite the obstacles they face in life their positive energy continues to rubs off on everyone they come in contact with; people are drawn to their energy. In fact, it may even become an aspiration for you.

Hebrews 13:16

And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

Have you had someone speak negatively to you & thought about how it affected you? Perhaps growing up you didn't have the best role models and now you find yourself speaking negatively to others?

Regardless of how we are raised or what situations we find ourselves in, we always have the opportunity to choose positive thoughts over negative ones. We just need to rely on God's help.

Isaiah 41:13 For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.

When you are frustrated, before you respond think about WWJD, allow God to enter your thoughts before responding. I can tell you this is something I still have to work at every day. But if we truly want to have a positive impact on those around us we need to take this to heart & truly work at it. Just like exercising we have to keep working until it becomes a habit and a part of our daily routine. God is always giving me opportunities to practice this! How about you?

Ephesians 4:29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

Our challenge is to focus on everything that is going right in our lives instead of focusing on all that is going wrong. When your thoughts drift to negative ones, immediately list 5 things you are grateful for. Get in the habit of focusing on positive thoughts and it will begin to change the way you view situations in your life!

1 Colossians 1:10-12

And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way; bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.
