You Are Not Forsaken

How many times have we all felt discouraged? If your life has been anything like mine you would say "numerous times" but I love how God reminds us NOT to be discouraged!

Deuteronomy 31:8 The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave your nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.

Too often we look to our families & friends for the love that only God can give.

At times we will all fall short of being the person our families & friends need, not intentionally but because we are all sinners. If we have not experienced what you are dealing with it's difficult for others to understand what you are going through. Our family & friends may abandon us or give up on us when we need them most, but that is when we need to remind ourselves that God will never forsake us.

When our son died I realized the only person who could possibly help me through my pain was God. My husband, family & friends were supportive & tried to help, but God was the only one who knew my innermost thoughts, my fears and the intense heartache I felt. When I began to think about how God must have felt watching Jesus die on the cross I knew without a doubt he understood the depth of my pain and I began to rely on his strength.

Hebrews 13:5-6 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"

Let this be your reminder this morning that YOU are chosen and deeply loved by God despite what others may say or do.

Don't take this journey through life without him because he will guide you, protect you & comfort you. Learn to lean on his Words when you are discouraged and always remember you will never be forsaken!

Exodus 33:14

The Lord replied, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."
