You Are In The Middle Of The Story

What a great reminder for us to remember, especially when we are struggling and can't see beyond our own circumstances. You just have to keep reminding yourself this is not how the story ends....this situation is one of many chapters in my book.

It's time to rise up & be brave, face your challenge head on. Remind yourself that you are strong enough to overcome it!

Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged,, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

When our son died on Nov 24th that night became a dividing line in our life. The "before" & "after" and what I have come to realize is Nathan's life was a short chapter in our lives. But his story has not ended, in fact he will be apart of the last chapter in our book when we are reunited again!

Romans 8:18

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed to us.

Often times when a loved one passes away we feel like we can't move on. We struggle to find a new normal for ourselves, perhaps you can relate...

Friends if you keep your eyes focused on the reunion it helps to minimize the sting. Don't get caught up in this moment of time because it can overwhelm you. Instead, focus on the bigger picture, focus on the joy, love & laughter they brought into your life and hold on to those great memories because they will bring you comfort in the months & years ahead! Will you still miss them? ABSOLUTELY! I can tell you even after 20+ years there is not a day that goes by that I don't think of Nathan or miss him. I've learned to cherish the memories of our time together. I hope you will too!

Ecclesiastes 3:1

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven.

Just remember God gave us this life, that tells us we are equipped with everything we need to overcome every obstacle we face. We have Gods strength & endurance within us to keep pushing forward. I like to look at our lives as a test and what we fail to realize is God has given us the answers to the test. They're all in the Bible, we just have to study & memorize it. When we do we will gain wisdom, find the comfort & realize we have never been alone on this journey. So when you are lost & confused, turn to his Word because the answers are all there!

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
