Wilderness University

How many of you enjoy learning? What if those lessons test your faith?
You might have a different answer if you knew the lessons were going to be difficult and even full of hardships right?!
Have you found yourself in the wilderness lately where you felt secluded & isolated? Joyce Meyer says "the wilderness university is where God changes us to be more like him." https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=WILDERNESS+UNIVERSITY+JOYCE+MEYE&docid=608043661051496806&mid=8DA87BD4D123815FEB8A8DA87BD4D123815FEB8A&view=detail&FORM=VIRE
When God leads us to the wilderness, we know valuable lessons are on the horizon. We also know they will be challenging & difficult at times, but isn't it in these moments when we learn the most? Especially when we rely on God for strength. Jesus was the perfect example of perseverance, especially when he was tempted for forty days & nights.
Matthew 4:1-2 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.
I'm wondering if you have ever experienced a teacher who impacted you in a positive way? If so, will you share why and what life lessons they taught you.
Sometimes we need to spend time in the wilderness to be closer to God and hear what God is trying to teach us. So when your life doesn't make sense I hope you will rely on these words in Proverbs as there is a reason for everything that happens to us. Let's look for the lessons instead of becoming frustrated by them.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
If you are finding yourself wandering through the wilderness I encourage you to keep persevering, allow yourself enough quiet time to listen for the lesson God is trying to teach you.
Perhaps he is trying to humble us. Proverbs 11:2 When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.
Maybe God wants us to surrender our life to him. Psalm 37:7 Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.
Maybe God is teaching us to lean on him because we cannot accomplish anything without him. Matthew 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
Whatever lesson you are learning, I hope you focus on the wisdom you are about to gain!
