What Is your Focus Word For 2021?

What is one word that you can focus on in 2021 that will help draw you closer to God?

The word I chose for 2020 was SURRENDER and I can honestly tell you that word spoke volumes throughout this past year as I was challenged to surrender on so many levels. Everywhere I turned I was being reminded that I needed to surrender situations & outcomes to God. Giving up control was never an easy thing for me to do, but it taught me that I could overcome anything if I handed it over to God.

It's even appropriate during the pandemic as we have had to surrender our freedoms to help save the lives of those we love and those we come in contact with.

Psalm 37:4

Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.

The word that speaks the most to me for the coming new year is ALIGNMENT because I want to live a life that is in alignment with God's plan. This is not always easy to do especially when we are unsure of what His plan is.

The past few months I have felt such a pull to pay attention to the direction God is leading me and listen to what He is putting on my heart. It's as if he is showing me when I am not in alignment with Him and when I need to change course.

2021 is going to be a year of new opportunities for me especially with me starting up my Christian Life Coaching business. I believe the only way I can be successful is if I am continuously seeking God's wisdom and aligning myself with His will and not my own.

Psalm 37:5-6

Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.
