Welcome the Interruptions
Updated: Jan 25, 2023
Are you someone who welcomes interruptions or are you someone who gets frustrated by them? I will be honest; there are times when I find myself frustrated especially when I am in the middle of doing something. Notice how this sentence is all about me, right?! (Problem #1) I've noticed that when I am busy doing my thing that is when God interrupts my plans for His.
I love this quote I read the other day, it said "Our ministry is saying yes one moment at a time." Think about that for a moment...when we let go of our plans and we pay attention to God's prompting we no longer view them as interruptions, but instead they become divine moments where God is calling us to work alongside of Him and what an honor it is to know He has chosen us to be a part of His plan!
Remember that God's plan is always better than ours!
2 Corinthians 1:17-22
"When I planned this, did I do it lightly? Or do I make my plans in a worldly manner so that in the same breath I say, "Yes, yes" and "No, no"? But as surely as God is faithful, our message to you is not "Yes" and "No". For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by me and Silas and Timothy, was not "Yes" and "No," but in him it has always been "Yes". For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God. Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come."
Let's become obedient with saying "yes" to God and watch how He uses each one of us in mighty ways, just like He used Paul. Remember Paul used to persecute Christians and then he became one. Read Acts 9:1-19
Acts 19:11
"God did extraordinary miracles through Paul."
So how do we avoid becoming frustrated? Prayer is the answer!
First, we need to pray and ask God what His will is for our day. How often we go about our day without giving it much thought or we plan what we want to do, instead of asking God what His plan is?
Let's get in the habit with speaking to God before we say or do anything and allow the Holy Spirit to lead us.
Welcome God's divine plan and surrender to His will, the more we do this the more we will see His amazing work unfold throughout our lives!
