Virtual Palm Sunday
Updated: Jan 26, 2023
Good Afternoon Friends,
Lifting each of you up in prayer on this Palm Sunday, never thought we would experience this day virtually, but here we are! So grateful for our Pastors live stream message this morning, those who work behind the scenes to make it happen, along with our awesome praise team! My hope is we will all reflect on what this day represents and what Jesus was about to endure in the coming week ahead. John 3:17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
If you knew you were facing the last week of your life, what would you be pondering? Regrets? Would you reminisce about all the great times you shared with family & friends? Or what you have accomplished? Perhaps wishing you had accomplished more? Do you ever wonder what Jesus was thinking as he was riding the donkey into Jerusalem, knowing it was his last week on Earth?
John 12:27-28 "Now my heart is troubled, and what shall I say? 'Father, save me from this hour'? No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour. Father, glorify your name!" Then a voice came from heaven, "I have glorified it, and will glorify it again." The crowd that was there and heard it said it had thundered; others said an angel had spoken to him. Jesus said, "This voice was for your benefit, not mine. Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out. But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself." He said this to show the kind of death he was going to die.
Friends, every day is a precious gift, just like Jesus dying on the cross to save us. Let's focus on our blessings and all Jesus endured on our behalf. Make sure you are taking advantage of this time we've been given with our families so when we face our last weeks we have no regrets! Praying you and your families remain safe and free from illness.
Our challenge is to thank God for all the blessings we have been given!
