Use Me for a Greater Purpose!

Updated: Jan 25, 2023

Do you know what your life purpose is or how your life experiences can lead you to your purpose?

Use me for a greater purpose is a prayer I say when I find myself at a crossroad, especially when I am uncertain of the direction God wants me to go. When your life doesn't make sense ask God to use you for a greater purpose and ask him to help you follow His will for your life.

We don't always understand what God is doing in our lives, in fact, often times we may even think he has us mixed up with someone else. God can't possibly be asking us to walk down this dark lonely road, have you ever felt like this? I know I certainly did when our son died, but we need to trust God and not our pain! What difficult road are you currently walking down?

If you are like me, you have experienced the death of a child or loved one and you may not know how you can possibly live without them or how you will ever be able to overcome your grief. You may be facing a lifelong illness or trying to determine what you are going to do next now that you lost your job due to Covid.

Do you suddenly find yourself wondering how anything good can come from this experience?

If so, I challenge you to trust the journey and to look for the silver lining because when we look hard enough we will see it, but this requires us to accept what has happened which often times is difficult for us to do.

Wherever you are on your journey give yourself the gift of grace, be patient with yourself and just ask God to reveal to you how he will use this experience for your life's purpose.

Through my son's death I have witnessed MANY blessings that I would have never experienced without going through that tragedy. I would give EVERYTHING up just to have him back again, but I know life doesn't work that way. Instead, I've tried to find the hidden blessings in my brokenness.

Just like the song "There Was Jesus" by Zach Williams & Dolly Parton I have seen Jesus in the midst of that painful experience. He has enriched my life and taught me so many valuable lessons, especially how to show up for others in the midst of their struggles & pain.

Galatians 6:2 Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

I could not have predicted the journey God would take me on since my sons death, but I feel like this journey is aligning me with Gods will for my life. I asked God to use my pain for good and I feel like it is leading me to become a Christian Life Coach and I am excited to be apart of this special group of people because I have learned so much already, I'm anxious to see how God uses me in this new role and I pray it blesses others.

Mark 10:45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.

Wherever you find yourself in this moment I ask you to embrace it. Ask God to give you strength, courage, wisdom so that you are able to trust the plan he has for your life. Stay open to the idea that even though this moment is devastating for you, something good can come from it.

The song "Lift Up My Life" by Unspoken sums it up for me! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UveOPq_iao
