Underlying Fears
Updated: Jan 25, 2023
What would you consider to be your underlying fears?
How many of us allow our fears to control us? I would bet we all have a fear of something, but we should not allow them to dictate what we will or will not do, but quite often that is exactly what happens. Does this speak to you? If so, I'd like to encourage you ask God to remove those fears from you.
So many of us are consumed with fears that we become paralyzed by them. They keep us from living the life God wants us to live which consists of trusting him completely, knowing he will take care of us.
I hope you will find encouragement in Gods Words tonight!
Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love, and of self-discipline.
I love how God commands us to be courageous. How many of us have really taken the time to think about that? What does that command mean for you personally? What is it about your fear that prevents you from letting go of it and is keeping you from trusting God completely?
Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
If you have multiple fears I recommend starting with one of them and turn it over to God and ask him to help you release it. When you are able to finally let go of that fear ask God to help you remove the next fear and so on.
Psalm 34:4 I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.
