Transforming And Renewing Our Minds
Updated: Jan 25, 2023
How many of you feel as if you are going through a transformation? Do you feel God pressing on your heart to make changes in your life? Are you fighting those changes? If so, may I ask why? Perhaps this lockdown has given you the quiet time you needed to reflect on what your priorities have been. Friends this is a great opportunity for us to shift the way we live our lives, although the real question for each of us is, are we willing to make the necessary changes needed for a more fulfilling life?
Ephesians 4:22-24 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
God seems to give me messages in twos and I feel like God was speaking to me yet again through this Bible verse, it's another reminder for me to stay the course he is taking me on. Romans 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will. Have you read Romans 12? It's a great chapter that should read often, it's full of wisdom and reminders of how to live our lives.
Psalm 51:10
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
They say nothing of value comes easy right?!
Reminds me of how a caterpillar goes through a difficult transformation process to become a beautiful butterfly. We need to allow our own transformation to change the way we live so we can become the best version of ourselves!
Through the renewing of our minds, our goal should be to have Gods perspective on life!
Colossians 3:2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
Our challenge today is to allow God to transform us through the renewing of our minds so we can become who he created us to be!
