There Is Always Hope In The Middle Of A Storm

Updated: Jan 26, 2023

Good Afternoon Friends!

This morning I was thinking about being a sailor in the middle of a storm & how frightening it could be not knowing where the storm will push you to. But imagine if you could see land, I would bet it would give you hope right?! Knowing you could find your way back to shore.

But what about the storms where you can't see the land? Would it make you more fearful?

Think about the navigation tools the sailors use to find their way back to land. Did you know God gives us the same tools to help us find our way back to Him? His navigation tool is his Word.

The unknown doesn't need to be fearful it can actually be hopeful. Hopeful of what God is going to do on our behalf while we wait patiently, having hope is knowing God will navigate you through every storm with his protection & guidance. We just have to remain faithful, calm & listen for his instructions to know which way to turn.

Hebrews 11:1 Now the faith is being sure of what we hope for

and certain of what we do not see.

Jesus questioned the disciples faith when they feared the storm that arose as they were crossing the lake in Luke 8:22-25. Do you find your faith being weakened or strengthened by your storm?

There are so many great Bible passages on this simple word HOPE, but they require us to activate our faith!

Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Your challenge today is to trust that God knows the storm you are in, activate your faith, rely on Gods navigation tool - his Words of hope & deliverance. Remember God works on his timing not our own.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans i have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
