The Unplanned Road Trip Podcast # 135

Here is the second podcast with Laura Diehl, which is a continuation of my first podcast where we discussed the workshop that I created for the Bereaved Parents of the USA Conference in August 2021. The workshop was called: Grief: The Unplanned Road Trip, where I gave a comparison of a normal road trip and our grief journey.

Isaiah 40:31

but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

The workshop presentation included road signs which discusses the various road conditions and weather bereaved parents experience on their grief journey. The road signs give you a grief perspective and show that our emotions will not always be this intense. The signs serve as a reminder that we are not alone on our journey and that it is possible to move through each season and find "healing on the horizon" which was the theme of the conference.

This podcast talks about the importance of merging our grief with our spouses or loved ones, and how communication is vitally important for the long haul.
