The Immeasurable Gift of Grace

Updated: Jan 25, 2023

Are you in a season of needing grace? Can I assure you in this very moment you are surrounded by an abundance of Gods grace!

I'd like you to try something....take a deep breath and think about inhaling Gods goodness & think about all the blessings you've been given, then exhale your anxieties and worries, visualize yourself releasing them. Now do that two more times! Do you feel better? I encourage you to take deep breaths throughout your day and as you do take time to list things you are grateful for. The minute a negative thought appears instantly say something you are grateful for. I encourage you to put reminders on your phone several times a day that say "stop, breathe, say what you are grateful for" even if it's just being grateful for the cup of tea you are drinking. This will just help reprogram your thoughts throughout your day and helps you focus on positive thoughts!

2 Corinthians 12:9

But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.

So often we are overwhelmed by our circumstances, it become difficult for us to see beyond them, trust me I know from personal experience! We can't possibly see how anything good can come from these challenges we face. If you can relate, just know you are not alone. Despite how your situation "looks" I can assure you God is in complete control, even when it seems out of control.

The word I offer you this morning is:

Surrender!

When we take that deep breath and allow ourselves to surrender our will to Gods will we allow Him to step in and do his work in our lives. Isaiah 40:31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Put your hope back in God, allow him to renew your strength and visualize yourself on the other side of this valley, trust that God will see you through!

Remember the devil wants nothing more than to see you struggle and worry, do not believe the lies he tells you. When you are in your season of needing grace, never forget that God can do the impossible, he can turn any situation around even when it looks hopeless, but the key is trusting Him!

Your challenge today is to lean on God, find hope in his Word and rely on his inexhaustible & immeasurable grace!

Hebrews 4:16

Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
