The Benefits Are Endless

When we revere our time spent with the Lord, we begin to realize the endless benefits of our relationship with Him.

Have you read Psalm 103? If not, I encourage you to read the entire chapter because it's a great reminder of the endless benefits of having God's love. He is a forgiving, merciful, gracious, compassionate, and redeeming God.

Psalm 103:2-5

Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits - who forgives your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

Having a personal relationship with our heavenly Father means that He will guide us daily by showing us how to overcome our fears and how to live with a grateful heart, despite any obstacles we may be facing. Don't forget, he wants to share your joyous moments as well.

So how do we connect with God on the deepest level?

For me it means we pray continuously throughout our day, it means we are willing to give up our plans for his, and it means we know without a doubt that God will provide the strength and endurance we need each and every day. Connecting with God also means we surrender our plans for His, and that we may not get our "why" questions answered.

Think about all the benefits you've gained personally from having a relationship with Him. Take some time to thank God for those benefits!
