Standing At The Crossroads

Updated: Jan 26, 2023

Do you find yourself standing at a crossroads in life? Perhaps you're not sure which direction to go? Can I encourage you to pause, sit quietly & reflect in this moment?

Isaiah 30:21

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it"

Friends, when we are facing crossroads in our own lives we can become anxious & even fearful as we're not sure what direction God is asking us to take or why. Imagine how the Israelite's felt when they came to the edge of the Red sea. Exodus 14:10-31

They were frightened because the Egyptians were coming after them, they didn't know why they were led to the sea. I love what Moses says in vs 13-14 "Moses answered the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." God asks Moses to part the Red Sea in vs 21 "Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided, and the Israelite's went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left." Can you fathom what that experience must have been like? Think about the uncertainties & fear they felt.

We can relate cant we? One moment we fear the unknown, we don't see our circumstances changing and in an instant, God parts the waters & makes a way for you. All the sudden the impossible becomes possible! Don't allow your fears to paralyze you, trust where God is leading you & know that he will take care of you.

Our challenge today is to let go of fear, especially when we find ourselves at a crossroad. Trust the path God is leading you down, rely on your faith & know He will guide you every step of the way!
