Soar On Wings Like Eagles

Bald eagles are beautiful creatures and as you know they are the national bird for our country! We are blessed to see them from time to time here at the lake and I'm grateful we were able to see another one tonight while kayaking!

Did you know the bald eagle can fly as high as 10,000 feet? They have impressive eye sight and can detect prey 2 miles away, they glide in flight at 45 mph and even dive at up to 100 mph, simply amazing!

Isaiah 40:31

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Friends, we can learn so much from an eagle, especially in the way they are able to rise above storms. We too, should rise above every storm we face.

When you find yourself struggling in life visualize yourself as an eagle soaring high above it all. Can you hear the silence? Allow yourself to rise above every storm, obstacle, frustration you face.

We need to continuously seek Gods wisdom and ensure we do not allow our pride to deceive us, as the Lord says in Obadiah 1:4 Though you soar like the eagle and make your nest among the stars, from there I will bring you down, declares the Lord.

How many of you remember the movie "Beaches" with Bette Midler? This was one of my favorite movies as I loved the story line of the two best friends, the fact that it took place at the beach (which my favorite place to be). When I worked at Cedar Point amusement park this song was played at the recording studio often. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0iAzMRKFX3c so it brings back a lot of fond memories for me.
