Pause, Reflect and Be Grateful
Updated: Jan 25, 2023
Thanksgiving week is a great time for each of us to pause and reflect on all the blessings we've been given, yes even during Covid we can still be grateful.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
What are you grateful for in this moment?
For me, it's that I was able to see my mom this week. I haven't seen her in a year and to be able to spend time with her and have her hug me was priceless, I'm very grateful!
Colossians 3:15-17
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
In these challenging times we need to get creative, so If you are struggling to be grateful because you are not able to spend time with your family this holiday I pray you will be able to Facetime, Skype or zoom with them.
I encourage you to take some time today to think about the numerous blessings you've been given and take a moment to give thanks to God for each!
Psalm 106:1 Praise the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.
Wishing each of you a Happy & Blessed Thanksgiving tomorrow!
