Mt Lassen Theatre Photo Contest

Well unfortunately Curt & I didn't have any winning photos this time around, but it sure was fun getting together with everyone and hearing the stories behind their photos! Definitely looking forward to the next Mt Lassen Theatre Photo Contest!!

I thought I'd share the photos I entered and the different categories they were for. I hope the photos inspire you to get outdoors and capture the beauty God created around you!

Genesis 1:1

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Cross Category - found this on the beach at Westport while camping

Innocence Category (of course it's of our favorite puppy Turbo) his first vacation to the beach! He's so sweet...

Temptation Category - This photo is full of my temptations, my camera because I love photography, the map of Maine as I cannot wait to travel back there again, and of course I have the blanket that my dad used when he was sick (it has Woodstock on it which was one of Nathan's favorite character) I still travel with it, last but not least a backpack full of snacks!

Peace Category - There is just something about being at the ocean that fills my soul with an indescribable peace. It truly calms my spirit....I will tell you this is something I miss about living in Benicia, as we were so close & visited the ocean often. Now that we live in the mountains it takes 1/2 a day to get to the ocean because we have to travel through several mountain ranges to get there.

Reflection Category - we were blessed with this beautiful sunset in Westport

Awe Category - Yup, you guessed it.....Turbo just makes me say awe all the time!!! hee hee...

Movement Category - I enjoyed watching the waves crash against this rock!

Nature Category - we were in a Redwood grove and when these trees fall they literally cut a chunk out of them for you to walk through so I was trying to be creative with this photo as it is both ends of the tree that were cut.

Remember friends our time is limited on this earth, I hope you'll take time to enjoy the the beauty around you because we live in a beautiful country and world for that matter, learn to immerse yourself in it!!

Revelation 21:1-5

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
