Let Me See Redemption Win!
Updated: Jan 25, 2023
Where would we be without God's redemption and how blessed are we that he went to the cross on our behalf? We are indebted to him.
Who doesn't love music? I'm guessing you may feel the same way, there are some songs that speak to my heart and when they do I love sharing them. Have you heard "Worn" by Tenth Avenue North? This is one of those songs that everyone can relate to at one time or another. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUEy8nZvpdM
Here is part of the lyrics "Let me see redemption win, let me know the struggle ends, that you can mend a heart that’s frail and torn, I wanna know a song can rise, from the ashes of a broken life." Boy, how many times have we thought these very words?
We ask God to mend our broken hearts and we ask him to let us know the pain will end soon. This song reminds me of the Women's Bible study we are doing on "Surrender". When we are in these difficult moments we just need to stay centered on God and surrender every moment to him.
As I shared in our Bible study group tonight when I am frustrated or struggling with something I have to remind myself to instantly say 5 things that I am grateful for because it helps to realign my thoughts and puts my focus back on God. It's not always easy, but when we train ourselves to pause for a moment we allow God that small window of opportunity to change our minds.
Romans 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will.
The next time you find yourself frustrated I challenge you to pause and sit quietly and instantly thank God for 5 things in your life. I guarantee the more you do it, the easier it will become and the quicker you'll be able to move beyond your frustration and even change your perspective!
Ephesians 1:7-8 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.
