Last Words
Updated: Jan 25, 2023
We never know when we will say our last words to those we love.
My advice to you is to say the words you would say if it was your last opportunity to say them.
This beautiful Palm Sunday afternoon we said goodbye to my beautiful mother. She was a woman who loved her family more than anything.
How blessed we were to have her in our lives, loving us, caring for us, praying for us, cheering us on. No matter what she was there encouraging us and helping any way she could. I was hoping I would get home in time to hug her and say goodbye, but God had another plan. Though I am heartbroken I know his timing is always perfect even when we don't understand it.
Knowing my sister was with her holding her hand I will be forever grateful that she was not alone when she passed. I am also grateful that my last words to her as she was passing was a prayer that God would give her peace. In the middle of me praying my sister said she passed so if there is a gift in her passing it is that God was hearing our prayer for a peaceful transition.
Mom I know you were reunited with SOOOO many wonderful family members and for that I am thrilled for you! And to see them all on Palm Sunday makes it even more special.
I thank you for all of the memories you gave us with all the vacations we took together, all the Cedar Point weekends with the grandkids, the Mackinaw Island trips and SO much more! I got my love of traveling and photography from you! Thanks for being our momma!
I look forward to our reunion in heaven, until then hug & kiss dad and Nathan for me. I'm so glad you're with your sweet momma, dad & brother.
I miss you already......
Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

So sorry for your loss, Jill. Your mom sounds like a wonderful lady, and you will treasure all the memories you made together. May God comfort you and your family with His unending love. My prayers are with you.
Beautifully said, as usual. You have a great gift. Love you my friend.
