Welcome to my FIRST blog post! I'm super excited to be blogging & pray God will speak to your heart through these daily messages and they will bring P.E.A.C.E. into your life! Have you ever questioned your purpose or found it difficult to accept hardships you've had to face? I know I have, but through prayer & God's guidance, He has helped me move beyond the most difficult & devastating times in my life. Especially when our son died 2 weeks after his 2nd Birthday. I pray these messages will bring clarity, uplift your spirit & encourage you to keep pushing forward, because brighter days are on the horizon! Isaiah 41:10

My journey to the waters edge

It's funny how looking back on my life & I am able to see how every experience I've had is interconnected. When I was younger our family took a vacation to California and I remember thinking I really liked the design of their license plates, I even thought it would be great to live there. Friends, sometimes our dreams are just quiet thoughts we have; can I tell you God hears the simplest of prayers and answers them? I know this because that thought came true for me!

What souvenir do you enjoy purchasing when you go on vacations? Do you collect key chains, mugs or perhaps T-shirts? When I was younger I enjoyed collecting sunset postcards. At the time I didn't understand why I was drawn to them or the significance they held, but I knew they spoke to my soul. It wasn't until I found myself at the waters edge watching a sunset in person that it became clear to me; it is where I feel closest to God.

To this day I am drawn to movies that have beach or water scenes, because they speak to my soul. In fact, my favorite movie is "On Golden Pond" with Katharine Hepburn, Henry & Jane Fonda. Over 10 years ago Curt, our boys & I had the pleasure of kayaking where the movie was filmed! I love traveling to these kinds of destinations. I knew back then I wanted to live by water, I could even visualize the peace it would bring me. In 2016 we purchased a home on a lake in northern California and I am in awe of how God led us here. I'm overwhelmed with a deep sense of gratitude for all I've been given in my life. But can I tell you it has not been an easy journey to get here? I know every tragedy & challenge I endured brought me to this place of contentment. I would not be the person I am today with out those experiences; so I have learned to embrace them & to be grateful for their lessons.

I encourage you to never give up on your hopes & dreams, because if you remain faithful & keep believing no matter how much time passes, God will answer your prayers! Trust your journey, even when you don't understand it and know every step is being divinely guided. Remember your dreams can come true "On Gods Time" be patient...

When you are standing on the waters edge, I pray you will be filled with Gods peace that surpasses all understanding.
