Honoring Our Freedom
Updated: Jan 25, 2023
How blessed are we to live in this beautiful country the United States of America!
As we begin our day, my prayer is that each one of us will be on our knees thanking God for the freedoms our country provides for us, especially our freedom of religion, speech, freedom to petition and assemble as well as our rights to equality and justice.
We are indebted to our forefathers who had the wisdom & insight to protect our rights and we owe our deepest gratitude to those who fought and died for them as well.
1 Peter 2:16-17
Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover up for evil; live as servants of God. Show proper respect to everyone: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the king.
Nothing is free in this world, even Jesus paid the ultimate price to save each of our souls. We should be ecstatic & grateful that he loved us enough to die for us.
2 Corinthians 3:17
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
Our challenge is to never take our freedoms for granted.
Galatians 5:13 You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love.
