He Is Risen!

Updated: Jan 25, 2023

HE IS RISEN INDEED!!

HAPPY EASTER TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!

Matthew 28:6

He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.

These are unprecedented times as we attend our church services online and celebrate Easter without all of our families surrounding us, but remember friends we are still blessed by this day as Jesus died to save us from our sins and his resurrection this morning is the promise that we too will rise when he comes back for us! Amen for that!

It's the perfect day for us to reflect on all of the daily blessings we are given.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. and so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words.

What are your Easter traditions?

Do you normally attend an Easter egg hunt within your community? Do you host an Easter egg hunt at your home with your kids & grandkids or map out a treasure hunt for their Easter baskets? Perhaps your family celebrates with an Easter meal together.

Easter has a lot of great traditions and even though we are not able to celebrate Easter in the way we prefer, we can still have a grateful heart for the gift that Jesus gave each of us! I hope you will take some time to reflect on the meaning of Easter and Jesus resurrection. John 14:1-4 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going."

Friends if any of you have lost a loved one recently or perhaps even to this virus, I pray your memories of shared Easters in years past will bring comfort to you this morning. Knowing they are with Jesus and you will be reunited again one day, that is a blessing in itself. I pray God will wrap his comforting arms around you, mend your broken hearts. May all of your sweet memories bring you smiles as you reflect on their lives & what a blessing they were to you!

Matthew 28:20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
