He IS Enough
Updated: Jan 25, 2023
Once again God has touched my heart in the deepest way and I couldn't be more grateful for his amazing love that he lavishes on us.
Once again, he has used the words of Isaiah 41:10 to remind me that HE IS ENOUGH and that no matter what I am facing I need to turn to him first....ALWAYS! Only God can comfort, heal, and strengthen me for the journey he has me on and I cannot thank Him enough for giving me that reminder yet once again....
Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
I am thrilled to say that my workshop was accepted and I will be speaking in August about "The Unplanned Road Trip" which is a comparison of a normal road trip with our grief journey. I will tell you one of my concerns was that I am too far removed from my grief when our son Nathan died 20+ years ago so I prayed that God would help me to remember what that grief was like. As I wanted to make sure that what I share with the newly bereaved would be helpful and have a positive impact on their life. I want to share what helped me during that devastating time in my life.
And as he always does, God showed up for me in a BIG way....as we drove across the country to say goodbye to my mother I realized that her death was a gift. In which God was giving me the perspective I was searching for. Although I did not want the knowledge in this form, I was just hoping he would bring thoughts & memories to my mind that I had forgotten about. But I know from personal experience God does not waste any experience we have, he uses everything to teach us and equip us so that we can grow spiritually closer to him.
He has shown me that I wasn't relying on him during this difficult time and I should be so I'm grateful for the reminder.
Are you struggling in your life right now? If so, I pray that Isaiah 41:10 will bring you comfort in knowing that God is with you as well. He will provide the comfort and healing you need the minute you turn to him.
Psalm 28:7
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for you and I will give thanks to him in song.
So today I want to encourage you to pay attention. Pay attention to what God puts on your heart and know that He hears every prayer, he knows your fears and sees every tear. He wants to be your Comforter, your Provider, and your Healer.
Allow his words to soak in. Absorb them and drink them in because He IS enough!
God will provide you with exactly what you need to face every obstacle in front of you.
Philippians 4:19
And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
