Grace is Undeserved Favor
Updated: Jan 25, 2023
How often are we given God's undeserved favor?
The answer for me would be daily, but I would even take that a step further and say we receive it continuously.
John 1:16 From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another.
Have you had extraordinary things happen to you where you knew without a doubt it was God's favor? At times I find myself overwhelmed by his goodness because I know I am not deserving of it, which makes me appreciate it all the more.
Where would we be without Gods grace?
2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
Can you think of someone in your life who needs grace? I would like to challenge you to give them the same grace God gives you. Too often we allow our emotions and ego to control how we respond to others, especially when they hurt us. But what God has shown me is when I step back from difficult or hurtful situations it allows me to remove my emotions and view the situation from a different perspective. Is this easy? Not for me, in fact, this is an area that I struggle with because I find myself trying to justify my feelings and I forget to remember Exodus 14:14 The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still. To often we respond without pausing and we miss the opportunity to show Gods love through our response or actions.
Psalm 84:11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.
Friends we are all blessed by Gods grace, let's make sure we are extending that same grace to those who are undeserving just like us!
Psalm 23:6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
