God Saves The Day!
Updated: Jan 25, 2023
How many times have you found yourself overwhelmed by a difficult or stressful situation where you had no idea how you could possibly turn things around and you instantly realize the only thing you CAN do is pray and once you did your situation turned around?
I've experienced this so many times and yesterday was no different.
A friend of ours decided to go swimming in a lake and after he jumped in he quickly realized he had forgotten to take his hearing aids out, unfortunately one fell into the lake and with the murky water there was no way we could see the hearing aid so we began to pray and thankfully God showed us a branch we could use to sweep the bottom of the lake which than picked up the hearing aid. Can you believe it? Only God can make that happen!
I have experienced this so many times myself when I was younger, while I was jumping in a pool at the last second I would realize I still had my hearing aids in and found myself scrambling to get them out of the water. It's such a relief when God spares us from the worst case scenarios.
Psalm 68:19-20 Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. Our God is a God who saves; from the Sovereign Lord comes escape from death.
When I was younger God was always rescuing me and even as an adult he continues to do so and I am so grateful.
Can you think of times when God swept in and saved the day for you?
I love hearing about the amazing ways God turns our situations around, I hope you will share the times he has rescued you!
Acts 16:31
They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved - you and your household."
When I started reading Titus I felt as if this was the perfect message for our times, it speaks volumes doesn't it?
Titus 3:1-8 Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and to show true humility toward all men. At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.
My prayer is that you will be able to recognize when God shows up for you. Remember there are no coincidences, only God winks which show us that God is always there to save the day!
Living with a grateful heart is the best way to live, find the good in every situation. Have a blessed day everyone!
