God's April Fools Joke

If God were to play a April Fool's joke on the devil what do you think it would be?

I think he would use Good Friday & Easter because the devil thought he had finally defeated Jesus when he died on the cross. Yet on Easter morning Jesus rose from the dead! Can you just picture Jesus saying to the devil "April Fools!"

Now of course we all know that is not what Jesus said when he rose from the dead, but his resurrection is a great reminder that nothing can defeat our God, not even death! He has the final say or as we would say the last laugh.

Let's not live like fools who do not believe, we should profess our faith and let it be evident to all what God has done for you. If we looked back on our lives I bet we could name numerous times when God has helped us. Let's encourage others to turn to God in prayer. Gods resurrection was no joke and neither are these devastating times. We should rely on God's Words in Joshua 1:9. Friends we have faced hardships before, God will see us through this one too, be strong!

Revelation 14:12

This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God's commandments and remain faithful to Jesus.

Our challenge is to continuously pray for our leaders, doctors, nurses, hospital staff who are all on the front lines. I pray God will touch those who have the illness with his healing hands, and I pray he will comfort those who have lost a family member to this terrible disease.

James 5:11 As you know, we consider blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job's perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The lord is full of compassion and mercy.
