God Is Your Confidant

How many of you know the song What a friend we have in Jesus? This is a song we heard growing up in the church and to me this is a song that reminds us that God is our confidant. We should be taking everything to him and when we fail to we bear needless pain & forfeit our peace, that alone should make us turn to him daily not just in times of despair.

What a Friend we have in Jesus,

All our sins and griefs to bear!

What a privilege to carry

Everything to God in prayer!

O what peace we often forfeit,

O what needless pain we bear,

All because we do not carry

Everything to God in prayer!

Psalm 120:1

I call on the Lord in my distress, and he answers me.

Is there something weighing heavily on you? If so, I encourage you to take it to the Lord and trust that He will help you through it. Remember God loves you unconditionally and accepts you as you are. He is forgiving and full of grace, there is not one thing that he is not aware of because he is omniscience.

Friends, in order to experience God's peace, we need to carry everything to Him in prayer!
