Facing Opposition

Boy, how many times have we faced opposition?

Can I encourage you to remain strong and steadfast while keeping your head held high. Try to look at this as God is taking you to a new level of awareness, visualize him sitting right there beside you helping you through this challenging time.

I believe we become more Christ like when we allow God to refine us!

Zechariah 13:9 This third I will bring into the fire; I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on my name and I will answer them; I will say, 'They are my people,' and they will say, 'The Lord is our God.'

The past few weeks I have felt as if God is refining me, it's as if everything is happening at once. He has shown me habits I need to change and flaws I need to work on. The things that frustrate me have been magnified which is making me take a closer look at why & realizing what I need to let go of. I have experienced every emotion from frustration, guilt, sadness, you name it. How many times have we all found ourselves here at one time or another?

My prayer has been that God will help me to walk closer with Him and by doing so I will be able to help others. Through this refining process God is helping me to overcome my issues so I can become the person I want to be.

Titus 2 is a great chapter to read I highly recommend taking time to absorb the words, I especially like vs 7-8 In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.

I won't lie it has been a painful process, but I know it will be worth it in the end because we gain wisdom when we face opposition & trials. So as I heed his call and allow him to bring awareness to everything I need to work on, I will thank him for being with me and holding my hand through this process and for the wisdom I will gain.

This has to be one of my many favorite verses Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

I have seen this numerous times in my own life, our victory is close friends, I encourage you to remain strong during your refining moments!

Ephesians 6:11-12

Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm .
