Contemplating God's Will
Updated: Jan 25, 2023
Do you know what God's will is for your life? If so, what would you say it is? I wonder how many people have really taken the time to contemplate God's will for their lives and if they have, how many are pursuing what God puts on their hearts? That's the challenge for each of us isn't it? Not only do we need to listen but we actually need to follow through.
Isaiah 30:21 Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying "This is the way; walk in it."
We should continuously verify if our will aligns with Gods, if you notice it doesn't we should ask for patience and wisdom to understand what changes we need to make.
Hebrews 3:12-15 See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness. We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first. As has just been said: "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion."
How many of us become frustrated when God's will doesn't line up with what we want or our desires?
Is God asking you to eliminate distractions or vices from your life or is he reminding you to spend more quality time with your family? You may even hear God asking you to spend more time reading His Word.
Regardless of what God's will is for your life, I encourage you to allow God to guide you. Let's verify what distractions are keeping us from doing so.
Deuteronomy 5:33
Walk in all the way that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.
