Benefits of Wisdom
Updated: Jan 25, 2023
Wisdom comes in many forms, first and foremost it comes from applying Gods Word in our life and secondly, through our life experiences. We can also gain wisdom by surrounding ourselves with people we can learn from. Proverbs 2:6 For the Lord gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
Does your circle include wise people? If not, I would challenge you to change who you spend your time with. In order for us to rise higher we need to be willing to let go of the people that are hindering our growth.
Do you have a family member or friend that has shared their wisdom with you? I was fortunate to have both who shared their wisdom through our conversations, by the way they lived their lives, how they responded to their circumstances and even in the way they treated others.
Proverbs 3:1-2 My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity.
The book of Proverbs is FULL of God's wisdom, I would recommend spending some time reading it.
I'm curious which verse speaks to you the most?
Proverbs 3:7-8 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.
Here's a few wise words that have stuck with me:
*Trust God even when your circumstance does not make sense.
*Do not expect anything and you won't be disappointed.
*Treat others the way you want to be treated.
What words of wisdom have you been given that have helped you throughout your life? I hope you'll share!
Our challenge is to take God's wisdom to heart, apply it in our daily lives and by doing so we will reap the benefits of His wisdom!
Proverbs 4:6 Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you.
