Avoid Favoritism

Good Morning to you!

I don't know about you, but I love it when God gives me reminders to keep me on the straight & narrow path. This morning favoritism was pointed out to me in the Bible.

James 2:1 My brothers, as believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, don't show favoritism.

We can learn so much from nature if you really think about it. Flowers don't compare themselves to other flowers, they just bloom. Just as in this quote the sun and moon do not limit their light to a select few and we shouldn't either.

Romans 2:11 For God does not show favoritism.

The Bible repeats this numerous times so I believe it's important to remember and always to be mindful of it. We are to love everyone, just as Jesus loves each one of us!

Proverbs 28:21

To show partiality is not good - yet a man will do wrong for a piece of bread.

Friends I encourage you to take a moment to see if there is any area in your life where you may be showing favoritism.

I pray we will all learn to love each other unconditionally, even those who are challenging for us. It's an opportunity for us to be the fruit of the Spirit.

Acts 10:34

Then Peter began to speak: "I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right. You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, telling the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.
