Are You Persistent?
Updated: Jan 25, 2023
This word affects how successful we will be! Whether you are trying to lose weight, paint a masterpiece or get good grades in school you can accomplish your goals if you are persistent. Last night we had a bat flying around inside of our house so we quickly became determined to get it out, thankfully we were able to! When we set our minds to accomplish something it's amazing how quickly we can get it done when we are determined enough.
What goals are you trying to accomplish?
Whatever you are facing today I encourage you to pray about it, be persistent and stay motivated. Remember even when we take small steps, we are still moving forward so don't focus on how long it's taking you to accomplish it, just make sure every day you are making progress!
1 Corinthians 15:58
Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
It's so easy for us to become overwhelmed by the amount of hard work we need to do in order to accomplish our goals, I certainly feel that way with my own. I hope these Bible passages will encourage you to keep pushing forward regardless of the obstacles you face.
Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
How do we prevent ourselves from being overwhelmed with that task before us?
The best way is to read Bible passages that remind us not to grow weary. Place them around your house & in your car so that you are continuously reminded that God will strengthen you.
2 Thessalonians 3:13 And for you, brothers, never tire of doing what is right.
We need to keep working hard despite the oppositions we endure. Remember we just need to get ourselves through the moment in front of us and repeat this throughout our day!
Luke 11:9-10 "So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
If and when you find yourself wanting to quit remember these words.
Romans 5:3-5
Not only so, but we also rejoice in sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
