Affirmations
Updated: Jan 25, 2023
The Bible is full of affirmations and yet from time to time we find ourselves struggling with our weaknesses and insecurities. Why is it so difficult for us to remember and rely on God's encouraging words?
2 Timothy 1:7 For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.
I hope by sharing a few of these affirmations with you, you will be encouraged.
You are stronger than you think
Philippians 4:13 I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
You are never alone
Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
When you struggle to see how precious and valuable you are
Psalm 139:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
When you are not sure which path to take
Proverbs 3:6 in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
When you doubt
Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
When you worry
1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
My prayer is that each of us will have the mindset of a warrior and when we feel weak, we will reaffirm what God has taught us in the Bible verses shared here.
1 John 5:4
For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.
Ephesians 6:10-11
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.
